Following the large number of Dunny customs we’ve missed, these custom Artmymind Munny figures are similarly in-need of being seen by the art and toy collecting world. It’s tough to say which of the Kidrobot platforms they do better with, but they clearly dominate KR toys. Which Munny is your favorite? For me, it’s between “Merry Creepmass” and “Hideki Saito” above. Going through the Flickr of Guillaume & Julia Lachambre aka Artmymind I was blown away by how many customs we’ve missed posting over the last year or so. I’ve made a lot of effort to follow their career and releases and yet they work so hard that they are constantly releasing beautiful customs at a fast pace. Above are the Dunny customs we’ve missed, including their recent Arashi Clan figures that sold super fast this February 19th. Knowing how great their Dunnys are makes it even more exciting that two original customs are coming from the duo in an exclusive colorway for a giveaway right here! Patrick Ballesteros's LOTR-Themed Set of Illustrations

Hopefully these become available to purchase as they’re obviously great and would compliment our earlier set of “Timely Wonders” Marvel-themed prints. In other Patrick Ballesteros news, he co-created a company called Treehouse Bandits and has a book for sale with another coming soon! Patrick is an extremely talented artist that I think any collector should be hitting up and purchasing all of his original illustrations, prints, and merch. as his name and (eventually) prices will only become larger over time. Joining Chauskoskis’ “Apolonio Apple” for BadApplezInc’s online group show, the piece can be bought right now for $140 as I type this. I love VISEone’s Tube Dunny customs and this strikes me as even better. It’s also great to see how low the prices are for this show, which I’m sure is due to the fact that it is online-only, so no rent needs to be paid.

"Project X Hunter" Custom Teddy Troop by RunDMB

From the artist: “I’m imagining him as a Project X hunter with 5 confirmed kills marked off on his helmet.”

Created for Manny Rivas of the Most Wanted Collective, this is a very impressive Teddy Trooper custom. We haven’t had the chance to post the RunDMB x UME Toys x JPK original sculpt collab in the past, but fortunately there are plenty of shots in this thread. I’m very curious to see whether artist David “RunDMB” Bishop continues to create figures that live in the same world as the Project X, as it would be a great thing to develop a mythology beyond it being another toy for your shelf.

The first custom above was for FOE Store and Gallery’s “GARAMANIACAL” group show ending March 4th, 2012. This 8 inch custom can be purchased right now for $750. The second shot above is for BadApplezInc’s “I’m a Bad Apple” online group show. “Apolonio Apple” is available for only $185. About the Ice Kiss Mammophant, from the artist (via):

“Mammophants, normally fairly passive creatures in nature, are often used as siege beasts because they are tough, can carry tremendous amounts of weight, and are not easily shaken by combat. A well bred Mammophant, is a powerful tool for any army.

The Ice’s Kiss mammophant, is native to the arctic plains of Ghalaed, where it is not only frozen outside, but also on the inside of the large beast. This species of mammophant carries a chilling wind in it’s lungs that when unleashed, will freeze it’s prey solid where it stands. This mammophant is armored in the gilding of the Queen’s personal army, and has a catapult mounted on it’s back to throw small gliding bombers from it’s back.”

Taking a brief pause from making his “The Corrupter” figure a reality since receiving full funding through Kickstarter, fplus attacked some of his pending commissions. He just wrapped up a Sub Zero Jaws Figure too, leading to a very impressive couple of weeks. I love all of these pieces but the “Spirit Bender of the Crystalline Theater” strikes me as my favorite Big Sal custom to date.

“The City” is greatly inspired by the film noir style and the monochromatic nature of movie sets from the 20s and 30s.

My first significant custom Munny is one of self-indulgence but it’s out system … for now. I hope to post some process shots soon.

Killer. This makes me want to finish playing L.A. Noire as it similarly captures such a beautiful era of filmmaking and style. Davey Bento is a graphic designer, toy blogger, and I’m extremely surprised to see that this is his first Munny. Images via.

Another great piece for Lfarnc’s Chuckboy collection! This is such a cute custom and Hugh has said that Liam is commissioning a second piece from him, so I’m excited to see what follows.

"The Butcher of Ginza" Custom Coarse Pain Figure by Early Bird

This piece was commissioned by Johnnyvinyl, who is making a name for himself in the toy world by hiring artists for amazing results (like these Huck Gee customs). There is way too much backstory to quote here, so check out this thread on the Kidrobot Discussion boards for info, more shots, and to discuss. This is one of the best executed customs on a Noop I’ve ever seen, up there with the work of Huck Gee, Kevin Gosselin, and fplus. Images via and via.

WHAT!?!? This is absolutely insane. fplus is one of a two artists (with Kevin Gosselin) who regularly create the best Coarse Jaws customs. While there isn’t a backstory from Josh on his blog yet, he hooked us up in the past with his thoughts on the platform. No idea who commissioned this, but hopefully they are getting a Scorpion custom too. OH MAN - wouldn’t it be sick if fplus creates a Goro PAW!?!

The Modelmaker's Custom 3" Darth Vader Dunny

“Custom Darth Vader dunny I made for the collector from Spain. He bought my provious Hellboy dunny on Ebay auction, he liked it and decided to commission me to make him another character. I am also Star Wars fan so agreed without hesitation.

This 3inch little guy was more demanding. The helmet was sculpted with epoxy putty and carefully sanded, polished and painted with 3 layers of super gloss varnish. At first I painted blue and white highlights with brushes to simulate reflections, but the effect wasn’t satisfying. I cleaned it and spray painted with flat black the whole figure and varnished only his helmet, belt and boots. The cape is made of melted plastic painted black and light saber made of plastic rod painted with Sharpie.”

Third Most Wanted 3 Series Reveal: "Good Morning Beard" Custom 3" Dunny by NEVERCREW

Manny has hooked us up again! First we received two reveals of customs from the upcoming Most Wanted 3 series with his interview and today has brought a third. The artistic duo Christian Rebecchi & Pablo Togni did a pretty good job with these pieces and I think anyone who pulls one will be quite happy. This friday, February 10th at 12PM PST (3PM EST) there will be a second pre-order for these customs in the Most Wanted store. As always with these releases - get there early, refresh often, and have nimble fingers if you want a chance to purchase as these will sell very fast!
